  • We begin with a free 20-minute phone consultation in order to discuss your hopes for therapy and decide collaboratively if I’m the right person to offer the support you’re looking for.

Initial sessions are focused on learning more about you and understanding in more detail what you want to explore in our time together (which, by the way, is completely fine to arrive unsure about!).

Especially if it’s your first time in therapy, we’ll also spend some time especially in earlier sessions talking about the various ways the therapy process can take shape and evolve over time.

  • I work with clients aged 15 and up from a wide range of backgrounds, and I offer LGBTQ+ affirming care. While this is not an exhaustive list, many of my clients tend to be:

    • People living with the impacts of childhood relational challenges, early neglect, complex trauma and C-PTSD and related issues such as emotional numbness or overwhelm, perfectionism, strong inner-critics, depression, anxiety, masking, relationship difficulties, and barriers to trusting self and others

    • Young adults navigating early careers, independent living, relationships and family-of-origin difficulties

    • Helping professionals (such as educators and social workers) and non-profit & corporate leaders/managers who have to show up in big ways for others but want support to address their own self-care and burn-out

    • Teens struggling with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and significant life transitions, like divorce, loss, and identity

  • Experiences we might work with together include:

    • stress & anxiety

    • self-worth

    • impacts of trauma, including childhood trauma, neglect and complex trauma (C-PTSD)

    • life transitions

    • family & relational challenges

  • I primarily utilize narrative, attachment-based, mindfulness, somatic (body & nervous system-based), and relational modalities. My approach is largely oriented towards building a greater understanding of, and tending to, emotions.

I really believe that the quality of connection and attunement between therapist and client is a significant factor in creating a safe, supportive and transformative experience, so prioritizing the ongoing building of rapport, trust and security within that relationship is central to how I work.

  • I currently offer online sessions to Ontario residents.
